Creator's Note,
The only thing you'll ever really know in life is what you experience. Everybody remembers their waking days and this common consensus allows us to agree upon reality. We are here together, so that must mean we are real together. We verify one another's existence and that allows us to continue to live in the world we call "reality". But the truth is we also live in another world.
Every night, every mammal enters into a specific sleep cycle we call Rapid Eye Movement. Sleep studies have shown that it is during R.E.M. that we most actively dream, and when people are denied R.E.M. they experience sleep deprivation; Even if they are allowed several hours of Non R.E.M. sleep. This allows me to at least begin to believe that not only do we need sleep, we need dreams. That these midnight out-of-body excursions serve a biological function not for our bodies, but for our minds. A piece of potential consciousness evolution.
"Is sleeping through your dreams the best use of your limited life span?" Is a famous quote from Stephen LaBerge, a pioneer in the scientific study of dreams. With so little time to experience all life has to offer how can we ignore another world that's so obviously right in front of us? If we want to understand, we have to search, each of us, alone into our own dream world, and out the other side, together again. We remember that the Universe provides, but forget we are part of the Universe. If we can do anything for anybody it is to encourage you to explore the other world that lies on the other side of your pillow. You're already doing it every night, now all you have to do is be awake for it.
Sincerely,
A Biological Astronaut On The Edge Of Time
